Digital X-rays

One-tenth the radiation, but better results - welcome to the 21st Century! at Dental
Implant and Periodontal Reconstructive Centers
& Bayshore Periodontics and
Implant Dentistry

The latest advancement in dental technology uses a computer and low-radiation X-ray to produce X-ray images directly onto a computer screen! With sophisticated software, the computer-generated X-ray can reveal information not previously available from a conventional X-ray machine. X-rays taken by the Schick X-Ray can be colorized, magnified and computer-enhanced to indicate things such as bone density!

Although every patient can benefit from the 90% DECREASE in radiation exposure, the digital X-ray machine offers special benefits to DENTAL IMPLANT PATIENTS. With the "instant" development time of the computer and the ability to view an enlarged X-ray on a computer screen at the patients' chairside, Dr.'s Aldredge and Nejat have the ability to make sure the patient's nerves and sinuses are protected and the implants are properly seated by taking digital X-rays at various points during the procedure!

Added patient safety, more predictable treatment, much lower X-ray radiation, and instant feedback clearly make the digital X-ray machine the X-ray technology of the future

Safer

Get necessary care without unnecessary radiation. X-rays play an invaluable role in the diagnosis of dental problems. But many people are concerned about exposure to x-ray radiation. CDR eliminates these worries because it requires 90% less radiation than conventional film x-rays.

Better

As accurate as conventional x-rays--- and reveals things film can't.

The CDR image can be magnified 300x its normal size to enhance diagnosis, manipulated to correct contrast and color-adjusted to reveal hidden problems.

Faster

More time treating, less time processing.

CDR images are instantaneous. No time is wasted processing and mounting x-ray film. So the dental staff spends less time in the dark room and more time with you, discussing the health of your teeth.

Smarter

No harmful waste--- or wasted money.

The Schick CDR system uses no film or chemicals, so we don't have to worry about disposing of hazardous processing waste. That's good news for the environment.

Additionally, CDR x-rays are covered under your basic x-ray benefits, so there no reduction in your insurance benefits!
